The recently refurbished Sainte Anne Resort and Spa has been upgraded to a Villa-only resort, and is set on a 200-hectare private island (just off Mah�), surrounded by one of the largest Marine Parks in the Indian Ocean.
Accommodation is in a variety of villas: 19 Beau Sejour with terrace and gazebo; 39 Providence with terrace and gazebo; 21 Providence with private deck and pool; 3 Bel Air with private deck and pool; 4 Belle Vue, each with 2 bedrooms, private deck and pool; 1 secluded Royal Villa with 3 bedrooms, private deck and pool.
All of the villas are sea-facing, have en-suite bathrooms, including outdoor shower, air-conditioning, mini-bar, safe, satellite TV, and tea/ coffee making facilities. In addition, each unit has an open-air terrace/ gazebo (complete with loungers) and private garden.
The villas are all scattered throughout the property.
You have a choice of restaurants, there is the main L'Abondance, with its relaxed and casual atmosphere, which overlooks the beach and swimming pool, and leads out onto an extensive paved terrace, shaded by coconut trees. Buffets are the main attraction, with fresh fish, seafood, and Creole dishes. Breakfast takes the form of an American buffet, whilst lunch is a la carte lunch, and the themed dinner evenings are buffet or table d'h�te
The Sans-Souci Bar leads off from the terrace, where you can enjoy the casual, yet elegant lounge.
You can also try Le Mont Fleuri, set apart from the main areas, L'Oc�ane Restaurant located on the beach, and Le Robinson Restaurant on the beach below Le Mont Fleuri. You will be spoiled for choice!
The waters around the island abound with some 150 species of protected marine life, which makes for excellent snorkelling and swimming. Diving, too, is excellent.
In addition, you can try non-motorised water sports (motorised sports are prohibited in order to ensure preservation of the natural environment).
For the young guests, there is the Bob Marlin Children's' Club - open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. It is open to all children aged between 3 and 12 years old. Children are taken care of by trained hostesses who organize indoor and outdoor games and other entertainment.
There are also cycling trips across the island, glass-bottom boat trips in the Marin Park, coconut tasting, initiation classes for Sega dancing, learning the Seychelles Creole dialect, games of hide-and-seek and shell painting.
Guests can also indulge themselves at the Tropical Spa by Clarins, which offers a refuge from the day-to-day stresses. Enjoy a combination of ancient therapies or Clarins treatments. The spa boasts state-of-the-art amenities, including 6 single massage cabins, 2 double massage cabins, 1 yoga room, a balneotherapy room, a beauty parlour, 2 saunas and 2 hammams.

Sea Sports: The crystal clear waters around Sainte Anne is home to a wide variety of colourful fish and is a tempting invitation to swimming, diving and snorkelling. To preserve the environment, no motorised water sports are available. Free water sports include windsurfing, pedalo boats, laser sailing, hobbycats, kayaks and snorkelling. Optional activities include catamaran cruises, scuba diving and deep-sea fishing.
Land Sports: The hotel occupies less than a quarter of the island's surface, leaving almost the whole island unspoilt and uninhabited. Guests have access to the rest of this magnificent island for walks, cycling and exploring. Other activities: Tennis and Mountain-biking.
